Thanksgiving

We had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving looking at the Black Friday adds and watching an interesting movie. Then we ate and then we watched a really cute movie. Then we ate dessert and boy, was it good. Chocolate pie, a rolled pumpkin cake with cream cheese filling, a raspberry cheesecake. Ummmm It was delicious! Then we watched another movie and went home at 9:30 p.m. It was great to be in Karina and Alan's newly remodeled home. It was beautiful.

Tate and I shared our Birthdays since I was in Montana on my birthday! It was a fun party...we had lots to eat...Hamburgers and Corn on the cob, my Italian salad and Nicks Jello Salad, and chips. Michelle, Nick and Landon and Grant, Scott and Bethany and kids (Alan's brother and sister-in-law) were there. Grampa and Grandma Rigtrup came the day before. The big thing was Tate getting to blow out a candle and everyone tried to help, but the lighter didn't work. After we had eaten the cake, Nick got some toilet paper to fire up using one a the coals and Tate finally was able to blow out a candle!

Well, Michelle and I finally had a yard sale. I made $81.30 and Michelle made $210. We sold lots of miscelaneous stuff. I want to have it a second time because there's still a lot of stuff that we could sell, but the weather is not assisting us!!!

My Trip Home to Montana

After the family reunion on Monday, I traveled home to Montana for a 3 week visit with my folks. It was very relaxing and great because I got to touch base with them and enjoy talking about everything and anything! I also got to go and visit with my great Aunt Mary and see her beautiful gardens. I stayed over for my Birthday and it was fun. We picked up Aunt Mary as she was in town for my birthday and to get her car fixed. We went out to eat at the Pink Cadillac. Then after we dropped off Aunt Mary, we went to Spotted Eagle and I waded. Then we went to a museum out at the Pumping Plant (water treatment plant). All in all it was a great trip.

The reunion started on Friday and we went to the movies, I can't remember the name of it, but it took place at a museum where everything comes to life at night, oh , it's called Night At The Museum. On Saturday we had the potluck luncheon and one of Uncle Joe's daughter, Wanda and her husband came. We did ceramics and played a game and went swimming. Then Sunday we went to the Shoshone Ward (Grandma is now in the Dietrich Ward). We were in charge of the Sunday luncheon and had Roast Beef, left overs, mashed potatoes and gravy, a relish tray and Apricot Upside Down Cake. And then we had the family meeting and talked about Grandma and the fact that she's forgetting things, etc. Grandma decided that she wants to get rid of her car. And we asked Daveda if she could check on Grandma a couple times a day. All in all it was a fun reunion. Dad found a new talent: ceramincs. We talked a lot and caught up on what the year has brought each of us.

Elaina & Jake's 2 1/2 Day Stay (1/4 on Thursday and 1/4 on Sunday!

Elaina and Jake came to visit for a weekend jaunt! They went to see Michelle, Nick, Landon and the new Baby, Grant, after I picked them up at the airport. Friday, Norman & I and Jake & Elaina went to Puyallup where we visited with Karina and her family. We went to the mall to eat and then Norman, Elaina and Jake went to see Karina's new house (soon to be closing and moving into). Then we had a backyard BBQ. Then on Saturday Norman took Elaina & Jake to the Museum of Flight. They both really loved that! In the evening we met Michelle and her family at the Red Lobster where we enjoyed a fantastic meal. And Jake got to have lobster for the first time! On Sunday morning Norman took them to Seatac Airport where they returned home.
