Last Three Months

Well, I've been busy going through Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy and I've graduated from all three. Although I didn't pass my driving test which I am again taking in June. I continue to do my physical therapy at home and combined with dieting I have lost 15 pounds and counting. Norman had a kidney stone about a month ago and still has the stone so they are going to remove it with a laser on April 27th. Then in May he is going to have a colonoscopy and during that same week he will have a hernia operation.

In the last week my parents have put their house up for sale and signed papers to buy one in town. This last winter was really hard for them. They had to have their neighbor snow plow their road about 8 to 10 times and Mom had to keep shoveling out the way from the house to the garage. She could only do it a little at a time. Dad isn't able to do it at all.

Easter was really nice...we had Michelle and Nick and the kids here and watched Conference on the computer and then had lunch and watched Conference again. It was a really spirtual day.

Christmas

We had a great Christmas. We opened presents starting at 7:30 am. We had waffles made from an aersol can and Nick provided them. At 1:00 Karina and family came over and we opened presents again. Then I fixed dinner. We had cooked the turkey the day before and I sliced it up for the next day. We had turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, relish tray and gravy. With sparkled pear juice and Martinelli's. We ate and talked and had a wonderful time. My camera was on the blink, so the only pictures we have is of Michelle and her family opening presents. I later learned that it needed to be recharged.

Decorating for Christmas

These are some of our decorations We didn't put up the fragile ones because Landon and Grant are living with us and we didn't feel they would be safe.

Thanksgiving

We had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving looking at the Black Friday adds and watching an interesting movie. Then we ate and then we watched a really cute movie. Then we ate dessert and boy, was it good. Chocolate pie, a rolled pumpkin cake with cream cheese filling, a raspberry cheesecake. Ummmm It was delicious! Then we watched another movie and went home at 9:30 p.m. It was great to be in Karina and Alan's newly remodeled home. It was beautiful.

Tate and Gramma's tummy anxious to eat the cake

Tate and I shared our Birthdays since I was in Montana on my birthday! It was a fun party...we had lots to eat...Hamburgers and Corn on the cob, my Italian salad and Nicks Jello Salad, and chips. Michelle, Nick and Landon and Grant, Scott and Bethany and kids (Alan's brother and sister-in-law) were there. Grampa and Grandma Rigtrup came the day before. The big thing was Tate getting to blow out a candle and everyone tried to help, but the lighter didn't work. After we had eaten the cake, Nick got some toilet paper to fire up using one a the coals and Tate finally was able to blow out a candle!
